About Us
Our Story
With a vision for uncompromising quality care, Paul Eschbach founded Behavior Therapy International in 2015. His passion for growth and fostering individual achievement through the application of the science of behavior analysis laid the foundation of the company we now call BTI. Since 2015, BTI continues to organically grow into a life-changing, goal-oriented organization. We have had the honor of serving the community with integrity since our first behavioral assessment and look forward to many more!
Behavior Therapy International serves clients in Cumberland, Dauphin, Lebanon, and York counties. Our services extend outside the walls of our office and into the homes, schools, centers, and communities of Central Pennsylvania. Our newly renovated home base for staff and West Shore Center are located just across the Susquehanna River from the Harrisburg Capitol in Wormleysburg, Pennsylvania!
Mission
“Deliver fun, compassionate, and high-quality Applied Behavior Analysis services.”
At BTI, we adhere to a collective mentality that we are a team working together to improve the overall quality of life for clients. Every intervention, treatment goal, and conversation are grounded in our desire to see change. From first words to program graduations, it is our greatest joy to encourage and support clients as they achieve their goals.
At BTI, we believe that staff deserve to be poured into as people and professionals. Staff are able to think critically, challenge policies, and pursue their passions within work. We hold that connecting staff and upholding mutual respect among members creates a fun, enjoyable workplace. We believe that keeping high clinical standards creates reinforcing client outcomes.
Vision
To create a diverse and inclusive workplace, where each person’s gifts can be used to support the children and families we work with. We value differing perspectives and lived experiences as they translate into the therapy we provide. We are committed to high-quality services and believe that diversity and inclusion are fundamental to quality.
BTI will demonstrate its commitment to diversity through its actions. Listed below are some of the ways we will demonstrate our commitment.
Recruiting – We will recruit and hire diverse candidates when seeking new talent.
Workplace Culture – BTI requires all staff to complete annual trainings on diversity, inclusion, and cultural sensitivity.
Values
Quality.
Since our founding, BTI has been committed to providing the highest quality ABA services, ensuring that our clients and their families receive meaningful, evidence-based support tailored to their needs.
Compassion.
At the heart of BTI’s mission is a deep empathy for the lived experiences of our clients. Compassion means listening to and honoring their voices, ensuring that our care is not only effective but also kind, respectful, and trauma-informed.
Growth.
Growth reflects our dedication to lifelong learning, innovation, and creating opportunities for both our team and the individuals we serve.
Commitment to Quality
On-Site Reviews – A member of our QA team will see each client every quarter as services are being delivered. We use this time to offer collaboration on cases and to assess the skillset of every clinician at BTI. When we see needs for improvement in skillsets during our on-site reviews, we address them and provide ongoing coaching and support to the staff member.
Record Reviews – Individual record reviews are conducted each month to ensure that best practices are being followed and that each client has a complete record available at any time.
Caregiver Satisfaction – Satisfaction data is collected regularly throughout the calendar year. This data is analyzed in real time to inform the QA team of areas that need immediate focus.
Compliance with Regulations – BTI complies with all regulations required by the state, the BACB, and the BHCOE. We review our practices regularly and make changes to how we operate or how we train staff as needed.
Assessment of Outcomes – As part of our treatment process, each client has data tracked throughout service delivery and reviewed, at least, every 6 months. We use this data to ensure that all clients at BTI are making meaningful outcomes. When needed, this data is used to evaluate our trainings, supervision standards, quality of coaching, and many other important topics.
